Welcome to the A is for Art Preschool website.
The 2019-2020 school year is our 13th year of early childhood education!
What started as a fun and gentle suggestion from a friend has now grown into an 12-year-old program which I and a fair number of students and families have enjoyed, and which I aspire to continue for years to come.

A is for Art Preschool is a State-of-Nebraska Licensed Preschool program for ages 3 to 5 in the Omaha, Nebraska metro area. We are conveniently located within the Benson Community Center at the intersection of North 60th and Maple Streets.

My name is Jennifer Borelli and I am the Owner, Director and Teacher. I have brought my art background from the University of Georgia at Athens, GA and Cortona, Italy to my original art-based early childhood program here in Nebraska. Through 22 years in Nebraska, I have spent more than twelve years expanding my art background to include teacher training and experience for the establishment and development of our quality preschool program.

In other realms of working with children in an educational capacity, I was a part of Cub Scouts den leadership for a total of ten years, and had the
honor of being recognized as Den Leader of the Year in April 2013 by the Lewis and Clark District of the Boy Scouts of America. Additionally, I had a total of four years of Girl Scouts leadership experience, as well as teaching experience in pre-Ballet/Creative Movement for early childhood with Adair Dance Academy. I attended the College of Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 2015 to 2018, and in December of 2016 had the honor of receiving a Humanities Innovator Award. I completed my Nebraska Teaching Certification in December 2017, and graduated with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the summer of 2018.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children, and can honestly and openly say that my years of teaching at A is for Art have been the happiest and most satisfying years of my professional life.
Personally, I am the proud mother of five children who range in age from twenty to ten, so I also strongly relate to the needs and wants of parents, siblings and families as a whole.
